On the Road to Recovery
Dr. Farber will place a splint on your nose after the surgery to keep the bones and soft tissue in place until you are completely healed. You will most likely not be able to breathe through your nose for a few days or weeks. Food may not taste the same because your sense of smell will be affected during recovery. The most important part of healing, however, is rest and following Dr. Farber’s post-procedure instructions. Also, until you are completely healed, you can easily damage your nose, so limit your activities and do not take any risks that could injure your nose.
