On the Road to Recovery
Based on the type of augmentation you have and the technique that is deemed most appropriate by Dr. Farber, you will have incisions inside your mouth, under your chin, or along your lower eyelid. You should take at least one week to rest and avoid your normal activities, including work. You will have some swelling and bruising after your surgery, and you may even have bruising under your eyes. Chewing, swallowing, and talking may be difficult, so you will most likely need to follow a liquid diet until you are fully healed.
