Radiesse® in Boca Raton, FL
Farber Plastic Surgery, led by Scott T. Farber, MD, FACS a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is dedicated to providing each patient with high-quality, personalized care. Dr. Farber offers Radiesse® treatments to patients that travel throughout Florida, across the United States and internationally.
Your skin is a complex system of structures that work together to maintain volume and hydration, and one of the most important natural substances in your skin is collagen. As you get older, however, your body produces less collagen and your skin loses its ability to keep your skin looking young and healthy.
What Is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is unique among dermal fillers in the way it works. Microspheres are injected into your skin and form an open structure that immediately adds lift to your skin, filling in lines and wrinkles. Special ingredients in Radiesse® also help stimulate your natural collagen production, and the collagen fills in the spaces of the microsphere structure. Over time, the microspheres are absorbed by your body, leaving the new collagen in place.
*Individual results may vary.
Is Radiesse® Right for Me?
Dr. Farber recommends Radiesse® to patients with marionette lines and smile lines, as well as wrinkles and lines at the corners of the mouth, pre-jowl area, and chin.

What Happens During a Radiesse® Treatment?
Radiesse® contains lidocaine, a numbing agent that helps keep you comfortable during the treatment. Dr. Farber injects Radiesse® into the treatment areas using a very fine needle.

Radiesse® for Hands
When considering anti-aging treatments, many people focus exclusively on tightening, smoothing and firming their faces. While your face is often the first to get noticed, your hands are a telltale sign of aging. Signs of aging tend to develop early on the hands due to the years of neglect and abuse they’re put through. If you’re happy with the condition of your face but wish your hands looked just as rejuvenated, keep reading. Similar to the face, there are methods for reversing the signs of aging on your hands. Radiesse® offers a new, innovative way to rejuvenate your hands and make them look brighter, smoother and younger.
Signs of Aging Hands
Hands often sustain more premature aging than any other area of the body. This is largely because they are used so frequently, and many people fail to take proper care of them each day. Using sunscreens, moisturizers, and other products can help keep signs of premature aging at bay. In most cases, the skin itself is the first sign that your hands are aging. You’ll generally notice a loss of elasticity, loose skin or an uneven skin tone. Veins, tendons, and joints can also become more visible as they begin to protrude through the thinning skin, making them look older than you feel. Furthermore, sun spots also indicate aging hands.
The Radiesse® Hand Lift
The Radiesse® hand lift is a new treatment that uses Radiesse® to turn back the clock on aging hands. The injections are often used on the face to provide long-lasting resculpting and plumping effects. Radiesse® is made of phosphate and calcium ions, which occur naturally in the bones. Radiesse treatments promote your own collagen production and improve lost volume. With all the benefits Radiesse® has to offer, it’s an ideal injectable for rejuvenating your hands.
Besides injecting Radiesse® into your hands, Dr. Farber can take other steps to help you achieve more youthful-looking hands. Fat grafting can provide additional rejuvenating effects. If you have age spots, laser rejuvenation, and chemical peels are excellent options. These treatments can be performed alongside your Radiesse® hand lift. On the Road to Recovery
You will see some immediate results, but as your skin’s collagen levels increase over the coming months, those lines and wrinkles become a thing of the past. Some patients experience redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness after Radiesse® injections, but these symptoms are mild and last only for a few days.
