QWO Cellulite Treatment

QWO Injectable Cellulite Treatment in Boca Raton At Farber Plastic Surgery

Cellulite, also known as orange-peel skin, is a buildup of fat underneath the skin. While some women are more likely to experience more severe cellulite than others, over 90% of women worldwide experience some degree of cellulite during their life (the condition is far less common in males, approximately 10% of males experiencing cellulite).

Up until recently, there have not been any reliable treatments to cure cellulite. Now, with the revolutionary QWO injectable cellulite treatment, adult women experiencing moderate to severe cellulite in their buttocks and thighs have a solution to their dimpled skin.

To book a consultation with Dr. Farber regarding treating your cellulite with QWO, reach out now at 561 503 2700 or fill in this online form. Dr. Farber’s practice is located in Boca Raton, Fl, and proudly serves patients from Sarasota, Miami, and other South Florida communities.

What is QWO?

QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable product that treats cellulite in adult women. QWO targets the structures that connect the skin to muscular and fatty tissue.

How Does QWO Work?

Active enzymes in the QWO formula – collagenases – work in three ways:

  • To release fibrous bands that pull skin cells down and cause depressions in the skin
  • To redistribute fat cells in a more even manner, making the skin surface smoother
  • To stimulate the growth of new collagen, which helps the skin stay firm and tight

These three functions allow QWO to release structural strain within the area affected by cellulite, creating significant changes in patients’ appearances.

Am I a Good Candidate for QWO?

Ranging from creams to brushes, many fads within the beauty industry have claimed to be cellulite treatments. While some of these treatments do somewhat reduce cellulite’s appearance (mainly by tightening the skin), none deliver the results they promise.

A good candidate for QWO is someone who is fed up with being promised a fix and who wants to do something about their cellulite.

It’s important to mention that a suitable candidate is also someone with realistic expectations for the procedure.

What Can I Expect Before, During, and After my QWO treatment?

Before

Before your QWO treatment, you will have an in-depth discussion about your goals and medical history with Dr. Farber. Talking about something as personal as your cellulite can be daunting, but rest assured, Dr. Farber is here to care. Explain how your cellulite makes you feel and how you’d like to change this.

By getting to the root of your concerns, Dr. Farber will be best equipped to offer you his insight on the best course of action possible.

Once you decide that QWO cellulite injectable treatment is the right choice for you, you will set a series of appointments to receive your injections. The number of appointments required will vary depending on the patient.

Leading up to your QWO treatment dates, you don’t need to change much, but we recommend avoiding alcohol and smoking and trying to maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise. Doing so will help your body recover faster from the injections and help shape the body into a pleasing figure that will complement your QWO treatment’s results.

During

The injections themselves can take as short a time as 10 minutes. There is no general anesthesia used, so patients can drive themselves to and from their appointments.

After

After your QWO appointment, we recommend avoiding strenuous activity. However, you can more or less return to your regular routine.

Depending on the number of treatments you have scheduled, you might want to avoid booking any trips away or excessively exertive activities like weekend hikes.

QWO in Boca Raton, FL - FAQs

There may be some bruising associated with QWO; however, women didn’t require any post-treatment downtime in the clinical trials. This means the recovery is almost non-existent, and you can get back to your normal day-to-day almost immediately.

Some women may need to travel to find a qualified supplier to administer the QWO treatment, and as such, they may require a flight. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after the procedure before flying, just to allow the body to adjust fully.

For those patients with hypersensitivity or allergic conditions, QWO can cause anaphylaxis and injection site bruising.

Patients may also experience post-treatment pain in the treated area, including hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling and a feeling of warmth around the injection site. As this is a new treatment, these are not the only possible side effects of QWO.

QWO injections generally take between 10-20 minutes per appointment.

The number of treatments required varies by patient. Each appointment can treat two treatment areas, with 21 days been the recommended waiting period between meetings.

Your treatment’s entire cost will depend entirely on your goals and the size of the treatment area. All things considered, most QWO treatments fall between $2,000 and $5,000.
